My lovely mom's birthday

Yesterday 29 Jul 09 me and Mary celebrete mom's birthday @ lok tian restaurant during lunch as Mary works night shift. Night time mom cook dinner for us.. hehe.. paisey the birthday star have to cook her own dinner. I wishes mom healthy always she is the hub of the family a very holy christian and a good example to us..

Lunch @ Little Cottage - Nyoya food..

Today lunch with hubby @ little cottage. Suppose Agnes and Yung Kok will join us but last minutes all escape.. haha.. perhap they want to leave us with a romantic lunch.. :)) No lar.. Actually Yung Kok has appointment with "small S" and Agnes not feeling well take sick leave..

Well I would say what a luxury lunch.. The place is serene and nice.. It located near KPJ (Kuching Specialist).. A nyoya restaurant which is home alike with very exotic interior design..

This is my second visit I hope next time I could try their dinner.. The food okie although the choices not as much.. Well the price wise my hubby think is expensive average each dish will be RM7 and above and drink RM2 and above.. But for me the price is okie for this kind of place.. Only those rich can come more often for us just once in a while should be fine.. The place itself is nice with few tables only not a very commercialize restaurant.. haha.. if the food not expensive enough how to support the business.. ;)

The asam fish got 2 pieces of moderate size fish and some lady finger.. Taste quite good.. Fish is expensive nowaday so I think this dish is more worth than hubby's nasi lemak.


This was taken during 1st visit to the restaurant.. super mini pineapple just the size of my thumb.. haha.. there were many plants around the restaurant..

Trip to KK

I had spent my weekend at KK last week. Never been there before this was my first trip to KK haha.. hmm.. actually I been there before but just transit only during my honeymoon trip to Korea.. haha.. :))

I wholly enjoy this trip with only hubby and daughter. Too bad my son did not follow us.. haha.. if he follow then perhap this will be an expensive trip coz with him we definitely have to join tour else hard to bring him around.. No hectic schedule since we follow our own plan..

My hubby is quite a good travel planner from air ticket, hotel and transport all taken care by him.. I just relax.. :p Although we had not been to many places but I think that should be enough if interest can come again.. Have to be thankful we got airasia lar.. haha.. if not ask me to spend so much using MAS I think I rather not going..

So actually we just walk walk at the city itself and one island - Manukan.. haha.. O I must mention that we stay @ tune hotel (from airasia) located @ one big hypermarket - One Borneo.. Hmm.. I must say that really very convinient and the room size just nice not like the one in KL near to KLCC terminal.. Aiyoo that one like prison cell..

O ya.. I think the Sabahan are friendly.. : ) A nice place to travel.. But I am not too sure will us go there again.. I am sure if got chance I want to visit more island and Mt Kinabalu..

Mom asked me to have dinner on last friday but I had just finish my dinner. But been told that got local lala and durian so I really tempted. So I drove girl went all the way to mom house to enjoy the durian and lala.. Super delicious really satisfied..

Today I received an email from one of my sister. I thought that just an ordinary FW email by comprehend from the subject itself "My encounter with God".

I must admit that when I receive long email I will normally put them aside until I have patient to read and quit half way if they bored me. But since the email said "This is going to be a long sharing so take your time, sit back and relax. " and the email from my sister boh so give face lar just continue reading. Then I realized it was actually my sister own testimony to share with me and the other 2 sisters.

I was moved with the words and cried while reading. I never know that she could write so many words full of sensibility. She poured herself to us and told us how GOD had changed and guided her. She is not a kind of person that like to talk so much. She plays as a listener to other sibling. She is a very determine and cool person and always scored good result in study. I always think that papa loves her and proud with her. In my heart I think papa only loves his 2 sons, this sister and youngest sister. However I thought I never felt jealous until when my eldest brother disgraced my father I felt unconsciously happy (not to say happy just little "爽") at the beginning. But then that selfish feeling diminish and replace with lot of regrets to him. All his hope on his sons but both don't understand him and hate him.

Papa had been disappointed with me long ago as an eldest among sibling but not showing a good example to them. He looks down on me and there was just one thing that hurted me. I still remember until now there was one year he taught english to other sibling but not me. His reason was I am stupid and not obedient where as my eldest brother who was as naugthy as me still have opportunity to attend his lesson. However I never hold resentment because I know how hardworking he is to support whole family with so many kids. When I studied oversea at UK during eco crisis 1997 he had no second thought to prepare money for me he changed the money one go @ RM5.++ rate.. (the rate had been rose from RM3.2) Luckily we had changed the money earlier the rate later sore up to RM7.++ He traded his property to support my study despite that he know how valuable the land would be if he not selling it. All I have is thankful to him being such a good and responsible father. And I can accept the least love that I got because 5 fingers surely grow different length. So I lived thrifty life in UK and spend less than 20 pounds a week on food. At the end I managed to save 5k back to Kuching. The amounts were enough for me and parent to attend convocation @ KL. But this was nothing compare to my other 2 sisters who spent non of their money when studied in local university with applied study loan.

I thanks GOD for giving lots and lots of encouragement through mom and sisters.

Mom & daughter coffee lover..

As mentioned before I am coffee lover but I can go without it also. I enjoy the taste and smell but I couldn't take more due to the side effect like heart beat faster. Normally I will take a cup of coffee during working day and no coffee on weekend.

Last sunday my brother suddenly invited me and mom to drink coffee @ The Bing.. Since Rachel not sleep yet I brought her together with me. My brother ordered hot vanilla (mom), hot mocha(me), ice blended chocolate(bro), lagsana and a piece of cheese cake.. Hmm.. Really so yummy I wholly enjoy it until forgot to take photo.. My drink had been arrived last due to technical problem they missed out the order :( However I remember to snap it and shown here.. wahaha... See how my daughter enjoy my mocha.. I only manage to drink last few drops of the drink.. haha..

Pumpkin & Sweet potato bread..

Just promised Pris. and SY that I will post more.. But seem like I am more lazy than I thought.. :p

Here you go some photos of my most recent baked bread.. I purposely bought a mold with cover hehe.. The one I previously got with no cover.. It cost me RM15 +.. Long term investment.. haha.. :)) This round I am not too satisfied with the outcome I hope next time the bread can grow full mold become rectagular shape.

Actually bread is not an very expensive item here and I even saw that UNACO selling RM2 per loaf. Bake bread is not cost effective @ all however it also depend what ingredient you used. This round I am using organic wheat flour and sugar so cost a bit more around RM5 ++. If not using organic ingredient perhap just half of the cost..
